No. SkillBit is not accepting new participants at this time.
Support is currently available through Careers Under Construction (CUC). CUC offers employment services, skill-building programs, and access to resources to help you move toward work.
CUC provides no-cost, Government-funded supports, including:
- Workforce Development programs
- Hands-on work pathways
- Employment readiness support
- Access to the Resource Centre
These services are designed to help you build skills, gain experience, and find your path to employment.
Workforce Development programs at CUC are structured, in-person programs that combine:
- Skill-building
- Employment preparation
- Hands-on experience
They are designed for individuals who are ready to work but may need support, structure, or time to get there.
The Resource Centre is a drop-in support space where you can:
- Get help with resumes and job applications
- Use computers and job search tools
- Access job boards and employment resources
- Speak with staff for guidance and support
You can use the Resource Centre on its own or as a starting point for further programs. There is no cost to access these resources.
No. The Resource Centre is available to anyone who needs support with their job search or next steps.

No. CUC programs are fully funded by the Government of Alberta and are available at no cost to eligible participants.
Yes. You don’t need to have everything figured out. Our team will talk with you about your situation and help you understand what supports and programs are available.
